Help Keep This Site Alive!!!!

The Mustang GTS is was available in 1994 and 1995 and was the equivalent of the LX Mustangs from 1987-1993.  They came with alot of the equipment that was available in the Mustang GT such as the 5.0L HO, dual 2 1/4" exhaust,  T-5 manual transmission and  Traction-Lok rear axle. What the GTS didn't have was  a rear trunk spoiler, fog lamps, 16"x7" 5 spoke wheels.   The GTS does have the "Mustang GT" logo rear bumper cover and Mustang GT emblems on the front fenders.

On the inside the GTS is similar to a base model V6 Mustang.  They have manual windows and door locks, cloth seats with the driver seat being a 4 way power seat. The GTS did come with power mirrors and air conditioning.  Standard equipment is a typical AM/FM cassette radio and plain jane visor mirrors with no illumination.  The instrument cluster is the same as a GT.  Optional equipment that was available on the GTS were from the V6 Mustangs which were "Package Group One" and "Package Group Two".  Package Group One consisted of power windows, power door locks and power trunk release.  Package Group Two consisted of cruise control, dual lighted power mirrors and premium sound.  4 wheel antilock breaks, AODE automatic transmission and keyless entry were other options available.

The GTS option was scrapped in 1996 and was replaced with the 248A option which continued until the end of the 1998 model year.
